A new RV company will be calling Plymouth, Ind., home. Indiana Wheel Co. (IWC) is investing $23 million into the manufacturing plant. Part of that company is coming from China.

WSBT TV reported that the Chinese company is known for making steel wheels, and will now be making them for RVs.

In a news release, the IWC president says Plymouth has a great proximity to resources, a strong labor market and distributors – making the move an obvious choice.

There are three partners in the IWC with about 50% of the money coming from Jingu Company Limited. The other partners are U.S.- based companies.

Located in the old Bay Valley building on Pioneer Drive, the company is expected to bring 117 jobs.

Work is already under way, bringing machinery into the building.

The Marshal County Economic Development President says the goal has been to diversify and bring in more reliable industries. But having a company come back to the US from oversees is something he believes will become a trend.
