Thanks to the Internet, a couple from Switzerland found out about Bill Plemmons RV World and they purchased a Class C motorhome from the North Carolina dealership.
Plemmons RV, located in Rural Hall, N.C., a suburb of Winston-Salem, recently sold a Winnebago 31C Minnie Winnie to a couple identified as “Mr. and Mrs. Steinkellner of Rolle, Switzerland,’’ according to a release on the dealership’s website, www.billplemmonsrv.com.
The Swiss couple currently is touring the U.S. in their motorhome, the dealership reports.
Plemmons RV reports its website “has frequent visitors from around the globe, as people search for a cost-effective way to travel.”
In the case of the Steinkellners, Plemmons RV staff “arranged for the couple’s flight and rental car and had their motorhome ready for them to begin their adventure when they arrived at the dealership.”
Separately, Plemmons RV announced it has purchased four more acres where it has completed a new paint booth for full-body paint service, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
The dealership, which has around $30 million in annual sales, also will expand its customer parking lot along with enhancing its entrance and display areas, the Journal reported. The improvements should be completed within a year, according to Jeff Plemmons, co-owner.
Plemmons RV currently has 60 employees, but it will expand its workforce substantially in about two years, Plemmons told the newspaper.
