Mike Jacques has left his position as president of high-line Class A motorhome builder SMC Corp. to join motorhome and towable RV builder National RV Holdings Inc.

Jacques now is the vice president of sales and marketing at the Perris, Calif.-based National RV subsidiary of National RV Holdings. His appointment was part of another restructuring of the company’s management team that included the elimination of the recently created Office of Chief Executive.

The restructuring includes giving National RV Holdings Chairman Gary Siegler the additional title of CEO of the holding company.

Meanwhile, Bob Lee, founder of National RV’s Country Coach subsidiary, was named president and COO of the holding company and National RV co-founder Wayne Mertes was named CEO of the National RV subsidiary.

“The company believes that these changes will streamline National RV Holdings’ management structure and give the National RV subsidiary the benefit of Mr. Mertes full-time efforts,” according to the firm.

In effect, Mertes replaces Raul Gimenez, who was president of the National RV subsidiary until he left the company recently.
