Jayco Inc. today (Nov. 19) announced changes in its senior management team as part of a plan to strategically position the company for long-term growth.
Jim Jacobs has been named general manager of the Starcraft RV and Entegra Coach divisions of Jayco. David Eash will replace Jacobs as Jayco’s vice president – sales & marketing.Eash will be replaced as vice president – customer service by Marc West.
In making the announcement, Derald Bontrager, Jayco’s president and COO of the Middlebury, Ind.-based company, said, “As we emerge from the recent economic challenges, Jayco has enjoyed significant market share gains and has solidified its industry-wide leadership position.
“Today it is apparent to us that there is significant upside growth potential for all our brands under the Jayco, Starcraft and Entegra Coach banners,” Bontrager said. “The company is fortunate to have a very strong management team and these changes will allow us to strategically position Jayco to aggressively take advantage of these opportunities for growth in the months and years to come.”
Jacobs takes over the Starcraft and Entegra Coach divisions after having served as Jayco’s chief sales executive for six years. He joined the company in 2002 after serving in sales and management positions with Kit Manufacturing, Holiday Rambler Corp. and Chief Industries. He is a graduate of Kansas State University and he and his wife, Melissa, along with their children, live in Middlebury.
A veteran of 25 years of service with Jayco, Eash has served as vice president – customer service since 2005. Prior to that he served in various management roles, including regional sales manager and supervisor of order management. He is involved in various local civic activities and he lives in Middlebury with his wife, Beverly, and their three children.
Marc West joined Jayco in 1992 and has served is a variety of management roles, most recently as director of corporate services. He previously had held positions in engineering and materials management and the company’s product engineering group.
Prior to joining Jayco, he served in the Navy, was an Air Traffic Controller and worked in engineering and manufacturing management capacities with Grumman Corp. West has a degree in business from Glen Oaks College and he and his wife, Lori, live in Elkhart.
