Jayco Inc. announced an expanded product development team in its towable division with the addition of two senior product directors.
The Middlebury, Ind.-based company reported that John Fisher, a 10-year RV industry veteran, will oversee the Jay Series camping trailer line, Jay Feather products and Whitehawk. Fisher comes to Jayco from Skyline Corp. and has spent his tenure in the industry focusing on the lightweight market in sales, sales management and product development.
Chris Barth was named senior product director for the Eagle line of travel trailers and fifth-wheels. Barth has over 18 years of experience in the RV industry. He began his career working as a supplier to the industry and spent the last five years with Forest River Inc., most recently serving as national sales manager for the Wildcat division.
“We’re putting a greater focus on individual brand excellence and building up those brands to be even stronger competitors in the market,” said Brad Whitehead, vice president of sales for Jayco towables. “The addition of these dynamic product specialists to the already strong team in place, is setting Jayco up for even greater success.”
In addition, Amy Duthie and Ben Johnson were promoted to senior product directors. Duthie will be responsible for the Jay Flight line of products and Johnson will oversee the Eagle Premier and Pinnacle lines. Mike Aplin remains as senior product director for Jayco’s toy hauler segment.
“This is a fundamental shift in Jayco’s approach to product development and provides a narrowed segment responsibility,” commented Whitehead. “There’s no doubt that this strategic plan will make the Jayco towable division a stronger player in the market place. I couldn’t be happier with the team we have in place.”
