Jayco Inc. has purchased 176 acres of land in Twin Falls, Idaho, where the company is leasing a 154,000-square-foot facility and began building travel trailers in March 2005.
According to a report in the Twin Falls Times-News, the Middlebury, Ind.-based builder is planni How To Know That Ur Gal Friend Want U Back ng an expansion that will add more jobs to the area. Jayco set up operations in Idaho to bring the company closer to a growing Western towable market.
“We feel Twin Falls is home to Jayco and we want to expand in Twin Falls,” said Dave Yoder, general manager for Jayco West, on Tuesday (June 13).
Most of the property borders a railroad line and is located in a manufacturing zone that allows for heavy manufacturing uses, according Joe Russell, a member of the company that sold the land. Neither Yoder nor Russell would give the property’s selling price.
Jayco opened its current facility with 10 employees and one production line, making a dozen Jay Flight travel trailers a day. Today, Jayco West has 190 employees and two production lines and turns out 18 units a day, Yoder said, adding that those numbers will continue to grow.
“There will be more jobs coming around,” Yoder said.
Dave McAlindin, economic director for the city of Twin Falls, said the land is located in the city’s area of impact and will be annexed into the city. He said it’s always good news when “a quality employer looks to make an additional investment in Twin Falls.”
“What a terrific thing for the community,” McAlindin said. “It certainly demonstrates Jayco’s commitment to Twin Falls and will provide additional opportunities for quality jobs for residents of the Magic Valley.”
