Jayco Inc. plans to introduce a new version of its Kiwi lightweight, hybrid travel trailer and the upscale Designer Legacy fifth-wheel during the industry’s national trade show in Louisville in late November, according to Jayco President Bernie Lambright.
The new version of the Kiwi will be called the Kiwi Too and it will feature “aerodynamic styling, innovative interiors and entry-level pricing,” he said. The small, light-weight Kiwi Too should ultimately replace the Jayco’s now-defunct Hawk light-weights.
The Designer Series currently is Jayco’s most upscale towable line and the Designer Legacy fifth-wheel will feature standard (formerly optional) 13.5 Btu air conditioning, microwaves and bookshelf stereos.
The 36- to 39-foot Legacy includes a new triple-slide, 35-foot floorplan with rear bay windows. A 36-footer will retail for $44,000.
