Jayco Inc. has positioned its new Melbourne Class C motorhome to appeal to RV enthusiasts who would rather not deal with a larger RV any longer. “The whole idea is to give the customer something to buy with all the amenities they are used to having when they come out of a Class A and want to downsize,” said Paul Gardner, Jayco product development manager. Built on a 14,050-pound GVWR Ford E-450 Super Duty cutaway chassis in lengths of 26 and 31 feet with up to two slideouts, the Melbourne features leather cockpit seats and furniture, convection microwaves, solid maple cabinets and solid-surface countertops. Full body paint is optional. MSRP: $81,971.
