Jerry Greer, principal of Jerry Greer RV in Columbus, Ohio, has shown his commitment to RV retailers once again with another $25,000 pledge to the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) Education Foundation to support the new RV Learning Center.
With the latest pledge, Greer, a former RVDA chairman and president of the Education Foundation for nine years, will have given a total of $50,000 to the foundation.
Greer’s pledge will help the RV Learning Center begin the process of providing access to educational programs for RV retailers that will improve dealership employees’ ability to provide outstanding customer service.
“Dealers and the entire RV industry owe Jerry a debt of gratitude for his commitment to professionalize RV retailing,” said Education
Foundation Chairman Rick Horsey of Parkview RV Center in Smyrna, Del. “Jerry is a major catalyst for much of what the foundation has accomplished through his volunteer leadership efforts and his own financial commitment.
“The foundation would never be in the position to embark on the RV Learning Center project for dealers and their employees without Jerry’s vision and that of the other foundation founders,” Horsey added.
“The more educated and professional we can make the people that retail RV products and services, the more successful everyone will be,” Greer said. “Companies that contribute to the foundation’s RV Learning Center understand that there are best practices that need to be shared so we can have a successful industry for the long haul.”
The RV Learning Center is dedicated to providing dealers and their employees with new and innovative ways to operate RV dealerships, sharing proven methods and practices, and encouraging the highest professional standards for dealers of all sizes.
RV Learning Center education programs will include distance learning, live workshops, online products, publications, and certification for RV dealership personnel.
