Shipshewana, Ind.-based K-Z RV LP for 2007 has introduced the Rock Climber, a front platform SURV, as an addition to its affordable Coyote travel trailer series. “Out West, this unit goes off-road; knobby tires make the unit sit a little higher for better ground clearance,” said Iva Nicholas, Coyote Division general manager. Rock Climber is available in lengths of 29 and 34 feet with either two or three tent-like bunk extensions. Each floorplan is outfitted with an 8-foot by 8-foot mesh-steel front deck that carries toys or equipment while traveling and serves as a patio with a standard marine-style bimini canopy in the camping mode. Standard equipment on the laminated-fiberglass and-aluminum Rock Climber includes a 50-gallon fresh-water tank with optional two-way radios, front-halogen lights and an outside entertainment center. The $19,000 (starting MSRP) Coyote Rock Climber debuted in mid-June during K-Z’s annual dealer meeting attended by about 165 dealers at the company’s new 35,000-square-foot headquarters building in Shipshewana.
