Executives at Kemlite, a supplier of fiberglass reinforced plastic panels to the RV industry, believe the RV market will remain strong in 2003.
In a statement issued Thursday (Oct. 17), Kemlite, a unit of Crane Co., a New York Stock Exchange-listed firm, reported that the “RV market continues to outperform earlier expectations. Management expects the RV market to remain strong and the truck-trailer transportation market to improve slightly both in the fourth quarter 2002 and into 2003.“
Kemlite is a part of Crane’s Engineered Materials division, and Crane reported, “Based upon the strong performance at Kemlite, management currently expects engineered materials operating profit to be up approximately 20% for the full year 2002 and a similarly strong performance in 2003.
“Demand for fiberglass reinforced plastic panels in the RV market continues its growth from previous quarters and is expected to remain strong in 2003,” according to Crane’s statement.
