Contrary to rumors circulating around the industry, Keystone RV Co. will complete its acquisition of Damon Corp.’s Towable and Camplite divisions on Friday as was originally planned, said Keystone Chairman Cole Davis.

Legal documents will be signed Thursday and money will change hands Friday, Davis said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Damon’s Towables and Camplite folding camper division employees will become Keystone employees effective at the beginning of the workday on Monday, Davis added.

The acquisition will move Keystone up to the No. 4 position in terms of retail market share among the manufacturers of travel trailers and fifth-wheels, Davis said.

Damon will continue in the motorhome and park model businesses and Damon Chairman Don Pletcher said there are no plans to sell those operations.
