Keystone RV Co. will greatly expand its the lightweight travel trailer offerings later this year and the Goshen, Ind.-based firm has hired Randy Graber, formerly the national sales manager at KZ Inc., to head its new lightweight towables operation.
Under Graber’s leadership, the new Keystone division, which has not been named yet, will employ “construction techniques and materials which have not previously been used in Keystone’s existing product lines and some not used anywhere else in the RV industry,” according to Cole Davis, the president and CEO of Keystone.
Graber will be in charge of prototype development until August, when the new division will begin regular production in a new facility on Keystone’s grounds in the Maple City Industrial Park in Goshen.
By the end of October, the new division will employ about 100 people, Davis added.
As the head of national sales at KZ, located in nearby Shipshewana, Ind., Graber developed “strong personal relationships with dealers across North America,” which will help in building a dealer body for Keystone’s new product lightweight product, Davis said.
