Keystone RV Co.’s Passport Ultra Lite division garnered record sales in May through July, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.
Goshen, Ind.-based Keystone reported in a press release that retail sales for the three months are up over 12% compared to a year ago, and the brand is on track to have its best year in its eight-year history. In addition, the Passport had record orders at the recently completed Elkhart County RV Open House.
“Many of the recent updates we made to Passport were inspired by our dealers,” said Product Manager Ryan Shuff. “For example, the all new almond-bisque colored exteriors have been a huge hit with Passport dealers and retail customers. So too have been the redesigned entertainment centers with larger TVs, tri-fold sofa in place of air-mattress in the Elite model, and the addition of pocket doors for added bedroom privacy. These are suggestions our dealers brought to our attention and the results have been tremendous.”
Passport also reintroduced a popular product segment at the Open House with the addition of four new Express “expandable” models. Adds Shuff, “Starting at less than 3,000 pounds, these models provide Passport dealers with increased opportunity to reach a broader market segment, attracting families with smaller vehicles and first time buyers. Ultralight sales are hot and we intend to keep Passport in the lead.”
Passport Ultra Lite is available in three trim levels under the Express, Grand Touring and Elite names.
