Keystone RV Co. reports its first quarter sales revenue increased 85% to $81.4 million, according to Cole Davis, president and CEO.

“Our company is fortunate to have over 650 of the best dealers in North America representing our products,” Davis said. “Our dealers are outperforming their competition and steadily gaining market share with brand names manufactured by Keystone RV Company.”

Retail sales data gathered by Statistical Surveys Inc., an independent market research firm, add weight to Davis’ claims.

During January, the most current data available, Keystone was the No. 4 producer in the combined travel trailer/fifth-wheel category. Keystone’s dealers retailed 598 units last January, a 17.5% increase over the 509 units they sold a year-earlier.

Keystone was the only company among the Top 5 travel trailer/fifth-wheel producers to retail more units during January 2001 than it did during January 2000.

The three top travel trailer/fifth-wheel manufacturers, in terms of retail sales during January 2001, were: Fleetwood with a 16.7% market share; Forest River with a 13.2% market share and Thor Industries with a 12.9% market share.

Keystone had a 9.7% market share in January and Jayco was fifth with a 6% market share, according to Statistical Surveys.
