Work is underway on the south side of Goshen, Ind., on a new manufacturing plant for Keystone RV Co. In all, it will take in 120,000 square feet.
WSBT reported that the goal is to have it up and running this summer and the need to hire up to 150 workers to staff it.
“It’s a production facility that will build a range of units from small travel trailers to very large park trailers,” said Bob Martin, the president of Thor Industries Inc., parent of Keystone. “And also with that, that came with an additional 60 acres, out there in Goshen for future expansion.”
The company says the $6 million investment in the new operation will allow them to expand their travel trailer production and better serve dealers in and around the country.
“There has been a demand for the product, and an uptick in demand for the product,” said Jim Mac with Keystone RV. “Business is good, dealers are optimistic in placing orders, retails customers are camping. Retail shows have been very good, lots of shoppers, lots of buyers.”
