Keystone RV Co., Goshen, Ind., has debuted an innovative VR1 travel trailer with a V-shaped front end that adds three feet to the coach’s interior. “VR1 was designed specifically to not be a ‘me-too’ brand,” said Don Clark, Keystone executive vice president of sales. “VR1 is very aerodynamic, and by slanting both sidewalls inward, we’ve been able to extend the floor platform over the A-frame. There are a lot of creative things we can do with that front space.” The aluminum and laminated fiberglass VR1, which takes some design clues from the cargo trailer market, was shown to dealers for the first time at the 43rd Annual RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky. Available in lengths of 27-31 feet with up to two slideouts, VR1 retails starting at $21,000.
