Highline fifth-wheel manufacturer King of the Road has entered the diesel-pusher Class A motorhome market, according to MotorHome Magazine.com, the online service of MotorHome.
King of the Road, based in York, Neb., has started building motorhomes under the Genesis brand name that will retail in the $300,000 range, according to MotorHome, a sister publication of RV Business and RVBusiness.com.
The Genesis comes on a Freightliner XC chassis with a 400-hp Cummins ISL engine and Allison 3000 MH automatic six-speed transmission.
It is available in four 40-foot floorplans: one double-slideout; two triple-slides and a quad. Interior features include a 32-inch plasma flat-screen TV, hardwood cabinetry, a central vacuum system and Smart Wheels steering system.
