Kingsley Coach Inc., Zimmerman, Minn., announced today (May 12) the appointment of John Merkent as the company’s new CEO, replacing Ralph Dickenson who is retiring from day-to-day operations but will remain as chairman.
According to a press release, Merkent has extensive business consulting, finance, and turn-around experience. He had previously served as director of corporate development for the custom coach manufacturer.
Additionally, George O.R. Carlson, James Whitehead, and Verdo Lancaster have resigned as members of the board of directors and will be replaced by Kingsley COO Edward Kelly, and Jerome Carlson, chief of production.
“Kingsley has made substantial progress over the last nine months,” Merkent said. “With the addition of our new president of sales and marketing and our expanded production facilities, Kingsley is now poised to become a major player in the luxury RV market as well as the Specialty Coach market, including the homeland defense and mobile medical segments.”
