Kampgrounds of America (KOA) became a “Go RVing Champion” when it made its third $35,000 contribution to the industry’s Go RVing national advertising campaign.
The gift was presented by Dave Nusbaum, KOA’s vice president of brand marketing, during the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) annual meeting last month.
“KOA believes in the Go RVing program,” Nusbaum said. “We’ve come a long way and I believe we’re on the cusp of some great things in the future.”
So far, 65 companies have provided $829,200 to the RVIA’s Go the Extra Mile Program, which provides supplemental funding to the $40 million advertising effort.
KOA’s total contribution to the Go the Extra Mile program now amounts to $105,000.
The primary source of funding for Go RVing ads is the mandatory $44 fee that each RVIA member manufacturer pays for RVIA standards certification seals that are placed on each new RV that they build.
RVIA supplier and associate members also contribute through surcharges on dues and Louisville National Trade Show booth rates.
