Kampgrounds of America (KOA) continues to enjoy revenue gains in 2002 as the number of visitors to its North American parks rises, according to the Billings, Mont.-based franchisor.
As of July 27, registration revenues at KOA’s 500 campgrounds in the U.S., Mexico and Canada were up nearly 8% from the results during the same period in 2001.
The largest growth has come in the Northwest region of the U.S., which has seen a 6.4% increase in camper nights so far in 2002.
A camper night is defined as one campsite in use for one night. KOA has approximately 75,000 campsites in its system.
