Editor’s Note: Officials of Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA) have announced that there will be 16 new additions to the system of private campgrounds in 2019. Over two blog postings they will introduce the new parks.

Every year, new campgrounds join the KOA family of campgrounds, expanding our system across the U.S. and Canada. This year’s KOA Directory, releasing in March, will feature over 500 KOA campgrounds for you to visit, including 16 brand new locations throughout North America. With so many new places to explore, we introduce you to some of these new KOA campgrounds below. Next month, we’ll visit the rest of our new KOA Campgrounds.

Come and enjoy the beautiful Lake Milton Berlin KOA in Lake Milton, Ohio, which sits on 82 beautifully maintained acres. Enjoy swimming, sun bathing and the inflatable waterslide at the swimming lake. Continue your water adventures on the fishing and boating lake – you’ll even find boat rentals for your convenience at this KOA. On the land, the fun continues with bocce ball, shuffle board, jumping pillow, cornhole, horseshoes and more. You’ll also be able to enjoy fun planned activities and themed weekends during summer stays.

Is there anything better than camping lakeside? We don’t think so! The Angola/Hogback Lake KOA Holiday is located on the shores of Hogback Lake in Angola, Ind., creating a relaxing retreat. While you’re here try your hand at fishing or rent a boat at the marina. If you’d rather stay on land, you’ll love the private beach that’s just a short walk from your campsite. This campground also has an impressive list of activities and amenities including five playgrounds, a Kamp K9 dog park, two basketball courts, volleyball court, two pavilions and more.
