KVH Industries Inc. (KVHI) on Friday (March 2) reported a loss of $1.7 million in its fourth quarter.

The Associated Press reported that the Middletown, Rhode Island-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and amortization costs, were 12 cents per share.

The maker of mobile communication and navigation equipment for a range of industries including RV and marine posted revenue of $39 million in the period compared with $43.9 million a year ago.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $11 million, or 67 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $160.1 million compared with $176.1 million in the prior year period. For the current quarter ending in April, KVH expects its results to range from a loss of 7 cents per share to a loss of 3 cents per share.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $39 million to $41 million for the fiscal first quarter.

KVH expects full-year earnings in the range of 12 cents to 28 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $166 million to $180 million.

KVH shares have climbed slightly since the beginning of the year. The stock has remained unchanged over the last 12 months.
