TAMPA, Fla. – Lazydays (NasdaqCM: LAZY) announced that Erika Serow will resign from the LAZY board of directors for personal reasons effective Sept. 30. Concurrently, Suzanne Tager and Susan Scarola have been appointed to its board of directors effective Sept. 30, the release added.
In other company news, Senior Vice President of Operations Ron Fleming announced his retirement via a message posted on LinkedIn.
“Well friends and family, it’s official! After 43 years in the RV business and the last 10 at Lazydays, I have retired,” Fleming stated. “I started my career on Labor Day weekend 1980, so it felt like Labor Day weekend 2023 was the perfect time to go. I can’t begin to name or thank the so many people whom I’ve shared this journey with. The people I’ve worked with, my many OEM friends who became true friends over the years, the people who gave me opportunities and put me in a position to succeed and make it this long, and the many dealer friends I’ve made and shared in the ups and downs of this business through the years.
“And in particular I want to thank my Lazydays family for a great 10 years. When Tim and Bill brought me in we had two stores. Since then we’ve become a public company and now have 25 locations and more to come. And I want to wish John North and his team all the best as they continue to grow and succeed,” Fleming said.
In the company release announcing the board of directors changes, Chris Shackelton, chairman of the board, said Lazydays was “deeply grateful for Erika’s many contributions to the board over the past five years.”
“As an original board member when Lazydays went public, Erika has had a significant impact on our trajectory. On behalf of the board and the entire company, I would to like thank Erika for her service,” he said.
Shackelton also welcomed Tager and Scarola to the board of directors.
“We are pleased to welcome Suzanne and Susan to Lazydays,” said Shackelton. “Their leadership experiences at Bain & Company and DCH Auto Group, respectively, are specifically relevant and valuable as we continue to build Lazydays into the country’s preeminent RV dealership network.”
John North, chief executive officer added, “Suzanne and Susan have track records of driving high performing organizations. They will be incredible assets to management and the board.”
