Tampa, Fla., Mayor Pam Iorio proclaimed April 7, 2005 as “Don and Erika Wallace Day,” to honor the couple for their philanthropic activities and efforts. The Wallace family founded Tampa-area dealership Lazydays RV Supercenter.  
According to a press release, the city recognizes local individuals whose commitment and dedication have made a lasting impact on the Tampa Bay community and its citizens.
Through the Don and Erika Wallace Family Foundation, the couple has invested in programs and initiatives that focus on: At-risk children and families, cultural arts, economic and community development, public health and medical research, and education.
The Judeo Christian Health Clinic is one organization that has benefited from the foundation’s efforts, providing free, quality health care to thousands of people each year in the Tampa area.
“The City of Tampa is proud and honored to join with the Judeo Christian Health Clinic in paying tribute to Don and Erika Wallace for their many efforts on behalf of not only their organization, but our community,” said Iorio.
