Tampa, Fla.-area megadealership Lazydays RV SuperCenter was Winnebago Industries Inc.’s top overall dealer and top Winnebago-brand dealer for fiscal 2003.
San Diego-based La Mesa RV Center, which was the Forest City, Iowa motorhome manufacturer’s top overall dealer in fiscal 2002, was the top Itasca-brand dealer for fiscal 2003, which ends Sunday. La Mesa also tied with John Bleakley RV Center of Douglasville, Ga., for the top spot among dealers of Winnebago’s Ultimate series of diesel pushers.
Altman’s Winnebago of Baldwin Park, Calif, was the top Rialta Class C motorhome dealer for 2003.
In fiscal 2002, La Mesa accounted for 9.1% of Winnebago’s sales in terms of unit volume. Seven dealers accounted for about 25% of Winnebago’s unit volume in fiscal 2002, according to a Securities & Exchange Commission document filed by Winnebago.
Winnebago’s dealer body consists of about 300 retail locations in the U.S. and Canada.
