Megadealership Lazydays RV SuperCenter, Seffner, Fla., reports it delivered 2,350 motorhomes and towable RVs to customers during the first quarter, a 20% increase over the same period a year earlier.
“We expect our positive trend in sales and market share in 2001 to continue in 2002,” said Don Wallace, founder and CEO. “We are projecting an increase in unit sales of almost 9% this year.”
Citing Statistical Surveys Inc. data, Lazydays believes its sales accounted for 38.5% of all Class A motorhomes sold in the state of Florida during January. The dealership believes it accounted for 34.7% of all Class A’s sold in Florida during January 2001.
In Class C motorhomes, Lazydays believes its Florida retail market share expanded to 21.6% this past January, compared with 14.4% a year earlier.
The company also believes its share of the Florida retail market for travel trailers grew to 6.2% this past January, compared with 4.1% during January 2001.
“These trends keep us on track to reach our goal of achieving $1 billion in sales,” Wallace added.
