Stewart Schaffer, chief marketing and communications officer for Lazydays RV Center Inc., has resigned from his position to pursue a new career in the healthcare sector.
His resignation will be effective at the end of January.
“Stewart’s leadership and creativity in advertising, promotion and club membership have helped us solidify Lazydays as the number one dealer brand in the industry,” said Lazydays CEO John Horton.
Schaffer joined the Seffner, Fla.-based retailer in April of 2000 to head up marketing operations. Prior to Lazydays, Schaffer was corporate vice president of marketing for ClubCorp International, based in Dallas.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to work for such a wonderful company and alongside the most dedicated and successful people in the RV industry,” Schaffer said. “I would like to add that while our company has experienced some tough times recently, Lazydays will continue to be the premier dealer in the RV industry for many decades to come.”
In his new role, Schaffer will be serving as chief marketing and strategy officer for BayCare Health System, a non-profit, community health association servicing the Tampa Bay metropolitan area.
