RV dealers and their top managers looking for some fresh ideas to start off the new year can get ideas from sales trainer D.J. Harrington’s workshop “Phone Skills for Successful Sales People” on Dec. 1, at the Executive West Hotel in Louisville.
The workshop, sponsored by the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) Education Foundation’s RV Learning Center, will be held the day before the opening of this year’s National RV Trade Show, is Dec. 2-4.
Harrington, a popular workshop trainer and a veteran of both RVDA and National Auto Dealers Association (NADA) conventions, believes developing solid skills when talking to customers on the phone is essential to sales success.
During this three-hour workshop, RV sales management professionals will learn the following:
• New phone skills that help set more appointments and close more sales.
• Identify and contract customers who are “ready to buy.”
• How to use legal, written permissions, to comply with “Do Not Call” rules.
• How to change attitudes about “working the phones.”
The workshop will run from 2:30-5:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 and costs $75 for RVDA members and $110 for nonmembers who pay in advance.
On-site registration will cost $100 for members and $150 for nonmembers.
The workshop will be followed by a complimentary networking reception for RVDA members.
