LinkSpot Networks has teamed with satellite company SDN Global to provide wireless Internet access to four more RV parks and campgrounds, according to the website LocalTechWire.com.
LinkSpot now will provide wireless Internet access to RV parks in Garrettsville, N.Y., Cherokee, N.C., Ocala, Fla., and Vacaville, Calif.
SDN Global’s BroadSat service will be used by Reston, Va.-based LinkSpot.
“SDN Global’s BroadSat service provides us with a cost effective means of providing T-1 like Internet access to locations where terrestrial T-1s are either too expensive or not available within a reasonable time frame,” said Mark Kaplan, LinkSpot’s chief technology officer.
BroadSat was designed by Charlotte, N.C.-based SDN Global from the ground up to provide Internet service via satellite.
