There were tears and hugs as Larry “The Window Guy” was reunited with his Lippert Components Inc. work family of 31 years on May 5.

Plant 228 came together to welcome Larry as he visited the facility for the first time since his surgery and cancer treatment. Everyone wore shirts with a cartoon depiction of Larry as a superhero that were made and sold to raise money to help Larry with his mounting medical costs. The sale of the T-shirts helped raise $5,168 for Larry, and altogether more than $14,000 was raised with a gofundme campaign, cash donations and the T-shirts.

Larry had never missed a day of work or even been late during his 31 years at LCI until he got sick. He is known for having a positive, can-do attitude and an inspiring work ethic. “We all miss Larry and want to help him on his road to recovery,” said Kevin Slater, Plant 228 Quality Control Manager who put together the “Help Larry the Window Guy” gofundme page.
