Affinity Group Inc. (AGI) announced today (May 3) the promotion of Bob Livingston to vice president, group publisher of the RV magazine group. He replaces Bill Estes, who recently announced his pending retirement at the end of May.
In his new role, Livingston will oversee AGI’s portfolio of publications and media, including Trailer Life, MotorHome, RV Business, RVtoday, the RV Buyers Guides, Woodall’s Regionals, Woodall’s Campground Management, as well as the TL and MH websites.
He also will continue to direct the seminar program at The Rally while acting as an advisor to the RV book division and providing input for AGI’s other business units.
Livingston joined TL Enterprises Inc., an affiliate of Ventura, Calif.-based AGI, in 1971 as an editorial staff member for MotorHome and Trailer Life. He left the company a year later to pursue other ventures while remaining in a consultant role for TL before returning full-time in 1998.
Most recently, Livingston served as vice president of RV content and executive director of RVtoday, AGI’s cable RV lifestyle show.
“Bob has amassed a broad and detailed expertise that covers RVs, accessories, the RV lifestyle, as well as the publishing and cable television businesses,” said Mike Schneider, AGI president and CEO. “And he continues as a dedicated RV enthusiast, which is the source of much of his insight.”
