Long time dealer Carl R. Alesio, 63, owner and founder of American Camper Sales in Schenectady, N.Y., died March 31.
Mr. Alesio had appeared to be in good health.
Many in the RV industry were saddened at the news, according to Joe McDermott, vice president of sales and marketing for the National RV Division of National RV Holdings Inc., Perris, Calif.
Mr. Alesio, who sold National RV motorhomes for many years, also served as president of the Capital District RV Dealers Association. He also owned American Body Works, one of the country’s oldest auto body shops, having been in business since 1920.
Funeral services for Mr. Alesio, who lived in Rotterdam, N.Y., took place on Monday (April 5).
