Crain Automotive Holdings LLC, which has recently bought several auto dealerships in central Arkansas, on Tuesday (Jan. 31) announced the purchase of Camper Capps in Little Rock, which will be renamed Crain RV.
According to a report by Arkansas Business, the Capps family operated the RV dealership for 35 years. A purchase price was not disclosed.
Crain said it expects to announce additional central Arkansas dealership acquisitions during the month of February. Since November, the company has bought several auto dealerships in the region.
The company said Crain RV will be run by Don Holmes. Phil Capps will remain on staff as general sales manager and finance manager.
“We are very excited about the addition of Crain RV,” Larry Crain Jr., president of Crain Automotive, said in a news release. “This is a new segment of business for the Crain organization, and we look forward to the challenges of making this the No. 1 RV dealership in the state.
Crain said the RV retailer is located where the company already operates other dealerships.
“We believe this dealership has the potential to out perform the competitors due to customer satisfaction and our commitment to offer greater selection and value to our customers,” he said. “We welcome all campers to our dealership for all their camping needs.”
Crain Automotive Holdings, owned by the Larry Crain Sr. and sons Larry Jr. and Chris, operate 11 franchised dealerships in central Arkansas. Larry Crain Jr. serves as president of Crain Automotive Holdings LLC.
