John Howard Sr., founder of Howard RV Center and a longtime member of the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA), passed away on Jan. 3. He was 88.
John and Ann Howard founded their dealership in 1971 with three folding campers on a corner lot in Rochester, N.Y. They named the new company CAMPCO and operated through many cold New York winters.

Howard is survived by his children, Kathy Kittleson, Robin Grover and her husband David, and John F. Howard, Jr. and his spouse Chris Tucker; his grandchildren, Dean K. Kittleson and Lacy Anne Grover Horner; and his great-grandchild, Aubrey Ann Horner.
