One man is dead and another in custody after an early-morning stabbing at Cassopolis, Mich.-based Ameri-Kart, a maker of custom-molded plastic parts for the RV and marine industries.

The South Bend Tribune reported that Sheriff Richard Behnke said it happened just before 5:30 a.m. at the company, located about two miles north of the Elkhart County line.

Behnke said both men have worked together for only a few months and were on a break when an argument broke out between the men. The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the neck.

An emergency response team at the facility attempted to resuscitate the victim, but he died at the scene, Behnke said. The suspect is in custody.

The identities of the victim and suspect are expected to be released later today, the sheriff said.
