unnamedAs a result of its strongest sales in recent years, Marathon Coach President and Owner Steve Schoellhorn announced a plan to increase production by 50% in 2015, with further growth expected in 2016.

“We’re very pleased with our 2014 results,” said Schoellhorn in a press release. “Marathon has had an exciting rebound over the last several years. We look forward to significantly increasing production in 2015 and beyond.”

Coburg, Ore.-base Marathon, a privately held company, delivered approximately 50 new and pre-owned coaches in 2014. Responding to strong sales and substantial customer order backlog, Marathon will further grow new coach production and staff in 2015. With planned production of 18 new coaches or more, the luxury bus converter plans on hiring over 50 people in 2015, weighted heavily in the first quarter.

Service centers at all three locations have also experienced increased revenues with ongoing demand for coach remodels, service and routine maintenance. Marathon projects overall 2015 revenue to exceed $50 million.
