The Dow Jones Industrial and Nasdaq composite indexes closed higher Monday, somewhat reversing Friday’s big losses.

The Dow gained 262.46 points, or 2.5%, and the Nasdaq gained 209.72 points, or 6.3%.

RV stocks were stocks mixed.

Coachmen and Thor posted the biggest gains because Thor revealed its proposal to buy Coachmen. The news caused the price of Coachmen shares to jump 2 13/16, or 22%, to close at 15 1/2. Thor gained 1 13/16 to close at 26 1/4.

Among the other RV firms, Fleetwood and Monaco were the most actively traded Monday; most likely because of the attention gained by Thor’s announcement.

Monaco gained 1/2 to close at 16 1/4, on 111,000 shares traded. Fleetwood gained 3/8 to close at 15 3/8, on 415,000 shares traded.

National RV gained 3/16 to close at 14 5/8

Skyline declined 1/2 to close at 19 3/4

SMC slipped 7/16 to close at 3 3/4

Holiday RV Superstores was unchanged at 4 1/2

Rexhall gained 1/8 to close at 6 7/8

Kit gained 1/8 to close at 6 3/4

Coast Distribution was unchanged at 2

Featherlite slipped 1/8 to close at 4 1/4

Spartan Motors was unchanged at 4 1/8
