The broader stock market closed higher as investors breathed a sigh of relief after hearing about a speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan. During his speech Tuesday, Greenspan made no mention about the Feb increasing interest rates later this month.

The Nasdaq composite gained 83 points, or 2.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial average gained 58 points, or 0.6%.

Meanwhile, Winnebago, which will report its earnings Wednesday, lost 3/16 in New York Stock Exchange trading Tuesday to close at 12 7/8, a new 52-week low.

National RV closed unchanged Tuesday at 9 1/8, its 52-week low.
