The 2017 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo will feature two hour-long workshops in the sales track presented by David Martin.

According to a press release, Martin has 40 years of sales, management and training experience and been a featured speaker at 35 conventions in seven countries. Martin will present two 60-minute workshops in the sales track. The convention/expo, the premier education and networking event for North American RV dealers, takes place at Bally’s in Las Vegas, Nov. 6-10.

Martin’s RVDA speaker page with preview videos is located on the convention website.

“Marketing Opens the Door: Closing Seals the Deal” takes place Nov. 8 at 3:15 p.m. In this highly interactive workshop, Martin will teach dealers how to prepare and carry out a training agenda to eliminate many routine objections before they come up, 12 keys to handle almost any objection in today’s hyper-competitive market, and how to identify and share the specific responses to objections that will close more sales and hold more gross profit. With audience participation, he will look at and discuss the six primary objections heard from customers and share multiple ways to address each one. The result will be to enhance the salesperson’s confidence and increase closing ratios, while still preserving gross profit

The second workshop presented by Martin, also in the sales track is, “Sales Strategies for the Hyper-Informed Customer” on Nov. 9, at 9 a.m., will focus on how to appeal to tech-savvy shoppers and help sales teams ready themselves for the coming surge of Gen X and Millennial buyers and find ways to engage them in today’s retail marketplace. The session will enable dealers to understand the psychology that drives them, what they want, and how to ultimately make them happy. The result will be increased sales and greater customer satisfaction, which in turn creates more referrals, repeat business and outstanding online reviews.

The convention will also feature an expo of the RV industry’s top companies that offer products and services to help dealers improve profitability.
