The Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC) has scheduled the 24th annual Tim DeWitt HARVEST Golf Tournament on June 20 at the Timber Ridge Golf Club in East Lansing, Mich.

According to a press release, All Seasons Communications sponsors the tournament which benefits the Tim DeWitt HARVEST Education Foundation, named after the former longtime MARVAC executive director.

Darren Ing, director of MARVAC, says the golf tournament has helped provide $338,575 to 608 students during the past 23 years. Proceeds from the tournament provide scholarships to students working in the RV and campground industries.

“Registration is going well with nearly a month to go,” Ing says. “We have about 50 golfers registered, but I have no doubt that we will reach 80 to 100.”

The foundation also accepts donations for the scholarship fund.

“We encourage members to donate something,” Ing says. “We are doing our best to pay it forward and encourage continued participation in the campground and RV industry.”

To qualify for a scholarship, an employee must provide an application, a biography, information on their college curriculum and a letter explaining why they think they should be considered. A committee reviews the application and makes determinations based on the submitted criteria and available funding.

The tournament registration deadline is June 10. For more information, contact Ing at 517-999-6880 or [email protected]
