The Maryland State RV Dealers Association recently voted to endorse the Tire Guard Road Hazard program and to recommend it to all of its members, said Scott Butler, the Tire Guard president.
Tire Guard, Falls Church, Va., sells road hazard protection contracts to consumers. The contracts are sold exclusively through RV, boat, motorcycle and auto dealers.
Earlier, the national Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) and the California RVDA endorsed Tire Guard.
Currently, over 400 RV dealers are enrolled to sell the Tire Guard program.
“We believe strongly in dealer education and look forward to working with the Maryland dealers to provide a quality product they can sell to their customers and improve their bottom line,” Butler said.
The Tire Guard Road Hazard program covers consumers against tire or wheel failure due to road hazards. The contract covers tires and wheels on RVs for seven years on new or used motorhomes, fifth-wheels, travel trailer and folding campers.
