The Massachusetts Attorney General’s office was investigating consumer complaints against the now-defunct Adventure World RV dealership in Shirley, Mass., according to the Fitchburg Sentinel.
The dealership, which was owned by David Hirsch, closed in February after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization on Jan. 16, the newspaper reported.
The Better Business Bureau of New England began investigating service complaints against the dealership before it closed, according to Lois Puopolo, director of operations for the bureau.
“We’ve had no contact with the company,” Puopolo said. “We’ve sent things and gotten no response.”
Consumers have submitted eight complaints against Adventure World RV, two in 2001, one in 2002, three in 2003 and two earlier this year, according to Sarah Nathan, spokeswoman for Massachusetts Attorney General Tom Reilly.
