Organizers are preparing for the 17th MBA RV Rental School, set to run Feb. 7-9 at the Tuscany Resort in Las Vegas.
Bert Alanko, the president of MBA Insurance who founded the program, reported that space was selling out quickly, despite moving to a larger facility. “We sold out last year and it looks like we may hit capacity case again this year,” Alanko said in a statement, adding that seven spots were sold last weekend.
The MBA Rental School covers the gamut including staffing, pricing concepts, fleeting, advertising/promotion and the daily operating procedures. Instructors and students discuss renting motorhomes and trailers and debate the unique advantages of the two operational models – dealer-owned versus managed fleet.
In response to requests concerning the agenda for this year’s school, Alanko provided the following highlights:
• Sponsors will speak during the first day.
• A 30-minute eWebRenter presentation will run during the morning on Feb. 8. A workshop will he held after hours.
• The bulk of the second day will offer a detailed look at RV rental operations.
• Consulting workshops will be available after each day’s program, running 15-30 minutes, allowing students to explore additional topics. Registration is required.
