Meyer-Distributing-logo-193x145Longtime automotive distributor Meyer Distributing will stage its second virtual wholesale recreational vehicle show beginning next Friday (Jan. 20) and running through Feb. 3.

Jasper, Ind.-based Meyer, which entered the RV segment in 2015, will make products of more than 200 vendors available to dealers during the eMeyer Mega Show through www.online.meyerdistributing.com.

Dealers must sign up on the website by Thursday (Jan. 19) to participate. Orders can be made Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

About 450 dealers participated in Meyer’s first online show last August, and more are expected this year.

”The show last year was the first for RV dealers,” said Jason Lents, Meyer RV/towing category sales manager. ”Considering that we were just entering the market, it was very successful. The best thing about it for dealers is that they don’t have to travel. They have two weeks at the dealership to take advantage of these specials and rebates.”

Operating as an automotive distributor of parts and supplies overseen by members of owner Mike Braun’s family since 1986, Meyer Distributing made its national debut in the RV sector after the 2015 purchase of an RV towing distributor in the Pacific Northwest.

Coincidentally, Meyer’s debut occurred at about the same time that LKQ Corp., the parent company of Keystone Automotive Operations Inc., an automotive aftermarket parts and accessories distributor, consolidated through acquisition the three leading RV distribution companies — Stag-Parkway Inc., NTP Distribution Inc. and The Coast Distribution System Inc.

”Meyer Distribution had been looking to get into the RV segment for several years,” Lents said. ”We were working very hard behind the scenes so that we knew what we needed to do to be relevant very quickly.”

Meyer has 64 warehouses and cross-docks throughout the United States. ”In a large portion of the country we can get product to the dealer the very next day,” Lents said.
