Meyer Distributing Inc. is adding a new cross-docking facility in Harlingen, Texas, according to a press release.
“We have focused on increasing sales of exhaust products and RV parts in South Texas,” said Gary Filipski, sales manager for the southern United States. “We are thankful so many customers are giving us a good look and seeing quickly what we can bring to the table to help their businesses and margins.”
Meyer, an industry leader in automotive specialty products marketing and distribution, is continuing to invest in both inventory and infrastructure in Texas, said CFO Jeff Braun. The cross-dock will have a direct, next-day feed from Meyer’s Dallas distribution hub which houses one of the largest inventories of automotive accessories and RV parts in the South.
“We have been at capacity for some time on this south Texas lane, and we’re looking forward to dedicating more truck space to this route to better serve our customers in 2018,” Braun said. “We are hopeful everyone will see earlier deliveries with this local presence.”
