Manufactured Home Communities Inc. (MHC) has acquired Mt. Hood Village, a 450-site RV resort in Welches, Ore., for around $6.8 million.
Mt. Hood Village is about 40 miles east of Portland and it is the only full-service RV resort in the Mt. Hood recreational area, according to the Chicago-based MHC.
The facility features a recreation center with an indoor pool and fitness center, and it offers access to year-round skiing, mountain climbing, hiking, camping and fishing.
“We are excited at the opportunity to reposition this community to cater to year-round weekend residents as well as the RV visitors to the Mt. Hood recreational area, one of the most beautiful spots in the Pacific Northwest,” said Howard Walker, MHC’s CEO.
MHC, a New York Stock Exchange-listed company, is a self-administered, self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT) that owns over 3,900 RV sites across the U.S.
