DÜSSELDORF, Germany — More than 164,000 visitors have already walked the show floor at this year’s Caravan Salon, the world’s largest trade expo for the caravanning lifestyle, according to a press release.
Event organizes say caravanning is more than just a holiday – it’s a way of life that embodies freedom, independence and the desire to discover new places. This fascination is still very much in evidence at the Caravan Salopn until Sunday, Sept. 6. In the 15 exhibition halls and on the outdoor fairgrounds, people who share a passion for mobile travel are coming together to experience the full diversity of caravanning.
“We are extremely pleased with how the 65th CARAVAN SALON has gone so far. Up to and including Wednesday, 164,000 caravanning fans have already made their way to Düsseldorf,” said show director Steven Koschke. “This impressively demonstrates the sheer level of enthusiasm for mobile travel and the interest in the latest developments in the industry. Our visitors arrive at the fair very well-informed and with specific ideas in mind. At the same time, we are experiencing the special atmosphere that defines the CARAVAN SALON: people who share a passion for caravanning meet manufacturers, dealers and experts from all over the world.”
It is precisely in challenging times, when consumer sentiment tends to be rather cautious, that the inestimable value of the Düsseldorf trade fair for the entire industry becomes clear, the release continued.
“The CARAVAN SALON doesn’t just showcase products – it opens concrete possibilities,” said Koschke. “Visitors can find inspiration, compare different concepts, experience and try out vehicles and solutions first-hand, and thus find exactly the right option to suit their individual needs and lifestyle. Nowhere else can such a diverse range of brands, layouts, vehicle concepts, technical innovations and equipment options be directly compared with one another within the space of a few hours. It is precisely this unique combination that makes the CARAVAN SALON so valuable to visitors. It is therefore not only the caravanning world’s major showcase, but also the most important venue for direct comparison from the customer’s perspective and one of the industry’s most significant sales platforms.”
At the 65th CARAVAN SALON, a record number of 834 exhibitors from 41 countries are showcasing motorhomes and caravans of all sizes and price ranges, as well as base vehicles, accessories, technical equipment, fit-out components, tents, mobile homes, campsites, motorhome sites and travel destinations.
