California multilocation dealer Mike Thompson RV has partnered with Make-A-Wish of Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire to help make wishes come true for local children aged 2 ½ to 18 dealing with life threatening medical conditions.

According to a press release, the dealership hosted the 5th Annual Mike Thompson RV Charity Golf Tournament on Monday (July 20) at Friendly Hills Country Club in Whittier, Calif. With the support of Mike Thompson RV management, staff, vendors, manufacturers, friends and family the tournament raised over $65,000 for Make-A-Wish.

Through various events and The Wishmobile — an RV developed and created by Mike Thompson RV — the dealer topped the original goal, raising a total of $185,000 for the local Make-A-Wish chapters. The Wishmobile hit the road last summer promoting Make-A-Wish along with wish kids’ stories. It cruises throughout Southern California to help create awareness for the charity.

David Revere of Mike Thompson RV noted, “Five years ago Mike Thompson RV made the decision to hold its first charity golf tournament. The intention was, and still is, to support local charities and help draw attention to those they represent. After the first tournament and our initial success, we quickly made the decision to make it an annual event.

“Now in our fifth year, the tournament has become extremely popular, selling out quickly and each year surpassing the intended goal of what we hope to earn. We are so proud to see the continued growing support of our staff, vendors, manufacturers and our customers. They have opened their hearts and their wallets to create an incredible opportunity for Mike Thompson RV to give back to the community. We are proud and honored to play a part in helping a child have a moment they wish for to share with their family.”

In business since 1972, Mike Thompson RV Superstores ranks as the top-selling retailer in the state with five southern California locations. For more information visit http://www.mikethompson.com.
