Monaco Coach Corp. has opened two new service centers in former SMC Corp. facilities in Harrisburg, Ore.
Harrisburg is about 12 miles north of Monaco’s headquarters in Coburg, Ore., where its West Coast service center formerly was housed.
Monaco opened its diesel warranty service just east of Harrisburg last year in the factory that SMC used to build its Safari-brand highline coaches.
Monaco acquired SMC during the summer of 2001.
The Monaco diesel service center, at 30725 Diamond Hill Rd., includes hook-ups for 40 units, a larger indoor owners lounge with semi-private work desks and Internet connection centers, a parts warehouse and on-site paint facilities.
Earlier this year, Monaco converted the former Safari service center in Harrisburg into a service center for Monaco, Holiday Rambler and McKenzie gas engine motorhome and towable RV products. It is at 455 Peoria Rd.
The former Monaco service center in Coburg is being remodeled to house more company offices and the factory delivery department.
Coburg is a suburb of Eugene, Ore.
